Richard Nicolls/Esopus Indian Treaty, 1665
Titled "An Agreement made between Richard Nicolls Esq. Governor under his Royal Highness the Duke of Yorke and the Sachems and People called the Sopes Indyans", this is page one of a treaty that settled hostilities between settlers to this region and the Leni Lenape that were its original inhabitants.
