New Paltz Town Hall Thursday - 10:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Lunch - 1:00 to 2:00 p.m Shandaken Town Hall Friday - 10:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Lunch - 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m

The Mobile Unit will not be open on the following holidays: Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, Presidents Day, Good Friday, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Columbus Day, Thanksgiving Day, Day After Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Years Eve, New Years Day.

Also, during inclement weather the Mobile Unit follows the school closings. Please listen to your local radio station for information on the Motor Vehicle Mobile Unit schedule.

Services

The Ulster County Clerk's Office offers a mobile DMV bus that travels to five towns in Ulster County five days a week.  This vehicle offers convenient Motor Vehicle services to the residents of Ulster County. These services include:

• Processing of Drivers Licenses - Originals & Renewals
• Processing of Learners Permits
• Obtaining Non-Driver Identification
• Processing of Registrations- Renewals & Originals
• Obtaining plates for Passenger, Commercial, Trailers and Motorcycles

Please note that enforcement transactions can only be done in the Motor Vehicle office located in the County Office Building. These transactions can not be completed on the Mobile Unit.

Payment

The County Clerk will accept cash, check or credit card for payment of Motor Vehicle Services. Additional information can be obtained from our Motor Vehicle Information Center (845) 340-3700.
