Legislator Alice Tipp and Office for the Aging Director, Kathryn Puglisi, have announced that the Ulster County Office for the Aging and the HOPE (Helen Hayes Hospital Osteoporosis Prevention Examinations) Program will be offering screening for osteoporosis at two locations in Ulster County.

Find out if you are at risk for osteoporosis. Learn about osteoporosis prevention, diagnosis and treatment when a person signs up for this convenient bone density testing program. A risk assessment is available by telephone.

The osteoporosis project will be at Aloha Acres on South Ohioville Road in New Paltz on Monday, May 20, 2002, from 1:30 to 2:30 PM. There will also be a screening at Jenny’s Gardens on Gerentine Way in Marlboro on Thursday, May 23, 2002, from 1:00 to 2:00 PM.
