FROM: ULSTER COUNTY PUBLIC INFORMATION OFFICE DATE: September 30, 2003 FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE SEPTEMBER 30, 2003 APPOINTMENT OF ULSTER COUNTY HEALTH INSURANCE ADVISORY COMMITTEE MEMBERS Ulster County Legislative Chairman Richard A. Gerentine announced today that he has named the following people to the Ulster County Health Insurance Advisory Committee: Thomas Costello, Daniel Devine, Lillian Jones, Laura Kaplan, Diane LeFevre, William Miller and Thomas Roach. Their appointments are effective immediately. According to Chairman Gerentine, "The mission of the Health Insurance Advisory Committee is to assess the health insurance needs in Ulster County. It is to also advise the County Legislature whether an affordable program may be organized to make available a county-wide group health insurance system for those not having coverage and allowing residents to obtain health insurance policies or supplemental policies at group rate discounts." The Committee will prepare and submit a report to the Chairman of the Legislature. |
