Ulster County Legislature Chairman Richard Gerentine has announced that various Ulster County offices will be closed to business all day on Thursday,

November 27, 2003, in observance of Thanksgiving Day.

According to Chairman Gerentine, most offices will be closed to business all day Friday, November 28, 2003, with the following exceptions: Ulster County Legislature Office, Treasurer’s Office and the Recording and Filing Department of the County Clerk’s Office. The latter will be open for recording of legal documents ONLY. Motor Vehicle Office and the Record Room will be completely closed to business for the day.

In addition, the Ulster County Rural Transportation Mini-Bus will not be in operation on Thursday, but will be in operation on their Saturday service schedule on Friday.

All essential services, including the Sheriff’s Department, County Jail, Golden Hill Health Care Center and Fire Control Center will be maintained on both days.
