Legislator Robert Aiello, R-Saugerties, Chairman of the Ulster County Personnel/Human Services Committee, in conjunction with Randall V. Roth, Personnel Officer, would like to remind all Ulster County retirees, who at one time served as County employees, that regardless of the date and reason for their retirement, they may be eligible for retirement health benefits through a new option with Mutual of Omaha Insurance Company. This option may save County retirees out-of-pocket premiums and other medical insurance expenses. This option has been available to Ulster County retirees since January 2004. Enrollment in this new option can be done at any time of the year and therefore is not dependent on the open enrollment period at year-end.
