FROM: ULSTER COUNTY PUBLIC INFORMATION OFFICE DATE: September 30, 2004 FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE SEPTEMBER 30, 2004 LEGISLATIVE COMMITTEE OF WOMEN’S HEALTH CARE Richard A. Gerentine, Chairman of the Ulster County Legislature, announced today that he has appointed the following people to the newly formed Women’s Health Care Committee: Alice Tipp, Chairman, Brian Hathaway, Robert Parete, Joan Feldmann, Tracy Bartels, Susan Zimet, Elizabeth Alfonso, Beth Freer, Rita Vanacore and Lorraine Smith-Zuba. This committee was formed in response to the Legislature’s increased concern of the special needs regarding women’s health care in the community. It will study and advise the Legislature on women’s health care issues in Ulster County, including, but not limited to, adolescence, alcohol and substance abuse, coronary heart disease, endrometriosis, gynecological health, menopause and osteoporosis. |
