    Kingston, NY—Charles Burgher, age 32, of Highland, NY was convicted of five counts of rape in the second degree and three counts of criminal sexual act in the second degree following a fourday jury trial before the Honorable James Farrell. Defendant faces significant period of incarceration in state prison when he is sentenced; he was remanded without bail pending sentencing on December 8, 2023.

    Kingston, NY—On Tuesday, September 26, 2023, Jordan Cutler, age 35, of Ellenville, New York, was indicted by an Ulster County Grand Jury for the Felonies of Attempted Murder in the Second Degree, Assault in the First Degree, and Strangulation in the First Degree stemming from a domestic incident on September 20, 2023 in the Village of Ellenville.

    On Monday September 18, 2023, Michael Latimore, age 40, of Olivebridge, New York, was sentenced by the Honorable Bryan Rounds to 12 years’ state prison to be followed by five years’ post-release supervision following his June 21, 2023 plea of guilty to Attempted Murder in the Second Degree.

    KINGSTON, NY – On September 14, 2023, Ariel Supple, age 29, of the Town of Ulster, NY, was convicted of Assault in the Second Degree and Criminal Mischief in the Third Degree following a four-day jury trial before the Honorable Bryan Rounds in Ulster County Court.

    KINGSTON, NY – On September 7, 2023, Naseem Pass, age 25, of Albany, pled guilty to Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the Second Degree, a class C felony, before the Honorable Bryan E. Rounds.    An Ulster County Grand Jury indicted the defendant for possessing a loaded firearm, specifically a 9mm Taurus pistol with a defaced serial number, following a traffic stop. Both the driver of the vehicle and the defendant attempted to flee on foot and were apprehended by members of the New York State Police. The loaded pistol was recovered in the center console of the Nissan Sentra.

    KINGSTON, NY – On September 1, 2023 William Knox, III, age 29, of Kingston, pleaded guilty to Strangulation in the Second Degree and Assault in the Second Degree, both class D felonies, before visiting Sullivan County Court Judge James Farrell. Knox faces 5 to 7 years in State Prison on each charge. Knox was first charged for acts of domestic violence against his ex-girlfriend in February and March of 2022. He choked the victim in front of her 4-year-old child, causing injury and loss of consciousness to the victim.

    On Monday April 10, 2023, Seth Young, age 49, of Esopus, pled guilty without any promises to his entire three count indictment charging him with the felonies of Grand Larceny in the Third Degree and two counts of Grand Larceny in the Fourth Degree, after jurors from all parts of the County had assembled and selection of jurors was about to begin.

    Kingston, NY—On March 20, 2023, Benjamin Santiago, age 28, of Saugerties, NY, was sentenced by Hon. Bryan Rounds in Ulster County Court to twenty (20) years to life following a June 17, 2022 conviction of Predatory Sexual Abuse Against a Child, a Class A-II felony. The conviction arises out of an investigation conducted by the Ulster County Family and Child Advocacy Center (FCAC) of Santiago’s sexual abuse of a three-year-old child during which he also photographed the abuse.  The FCAC was assisted by members of the Town of Saugerties Police Department.

    KINGSTON, NY— On March 10, 2023, Ulster County District Attorney’s Office arraigned Junando Dawkins, age 29, of Newburgh, in connection with an indictment charging him with Murder in the Second Degree and three counts of Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the Second Degree. The defendant was remanded to Ulster County Jail without bail by the Honorable Sara McGinty following his extradition from North Carolina. Defendant was apprehended at Fort Bragg where he was about to deploy overseas as a Sergeant in United States Army.
