Hazard Mitigation Steering Committee

The Hazard Mitigation Plan (HMP) Steering Committee is a multi-jurisdictional advisory group responsible for guiding the County’s hazard mitigation planning process. The Committee provides leadership, oversight, and direction to ensure the plan reflects community priorities and meets state and federal standards. Members coordinate with participating municipalities and stakeholders, review hazards and goals, evaluate mitigation strategies, and oversee public outreach. Through its work, the Committee ensures the HMP is comprehensive, actionable, and supported by both policymakers and the community.
