Ulster County is expanding access to mental health care through investments in a new facility offering 24/7 crisis support and enhanced services for youth and families. These efforts reflect a Countywide commitment to strengthening behavioral health systems and ensuring timely, compassionate care for all residents.

Center for Well-Being

Located at 368 Broadway in Kingston, this hub for mental health and wellness services offers trauma-informed care and walk-in support for individuals and families navigating mental health or substance use challenges.

Mental Health in Schools

Ulster County is working closely with school districts and community partners to expand mental health support for students. Through school-based programs, students have access to counseling, crisis response and evidence-based interventions that promote emotional wellness and resilience.

County Opens Crisis Support Center for 24/7 Behavioral Health Services

County Executive Jen Metzger announced the opening of the Ulster County Crisis Support Center, operated by People USA in partnership with the UC Department of Mental Health. The Center will operate 24/7, providing support for people of all ages experiencing a mental health or substance use crisis. The Center is located on the first floor of the UC Center for Well-Being at 368 Broadway in Kingston.

Community Comes Together for EllenWell at the Trudy Center
