Pursuant to the Ulster County Charter, the Intermunicipal Collaboration Council is responsible for promoting communication, coordination, and collaboration among local governments in Ulster County. The Council serves as a forum for discussing issues affecting municipalities and identifying opportunities to improve the efficiency, effectiveness, equity, and responsiveness of public services through intergovernmental cooperation.
The Intermunicipal Collaboration Council shall consist of nine members. Membership includes the County Executive, the Chair of the County Legislature, the Majority and Minority Leaders of the Legislature (or their respective designees), the Mayor of the City of Kingston (or a designee), one representative of Ulster BOCES, two representatives selected by the Ulster County Town Supervisors' Association, and one community member appointed by the County Executive.
