Workforce Development Board

The Ulster County Workforce Development Board sets workforce development policy and oversees the County's Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) funding. The Board is composed of representatives from the business, workforce, education, and economic development sectors.

Membership Rules 

The Workforce Development Board should include a majority of Business representatives, approximately 20% should be Workforce representatives, at least one Title III Wagner-Peyser representative, at least one Title II Adult Education and Literacy representative, at least one Higher Education Representative, at least one Economic Community Development representative, at least one Title IV Vocational Rehabilitation representative, and optional spots for Other Programs/Organization as well as Discretionary Appointments.

Board Members shall serve two-year terms and appointments shall be made by the Ulster County Executive.


The members of the board shall elect a chairperson from among the business representatives.
