Community Services Board

The Community Services Board (CSB) is a 15-member advisory body composed of licensed professionals and community members with a demonstrated interest in behavioral health. The Board provides guidance to the Department of Mental Health, the County Executive, and the Legislature on behavioral health policies, programs, and capital projects. The CSB holds the authority to inspect and review all Department facilities and services, offering public reports and recommendations that promote transparency and service improvement.

Membership Rules

The Community Services Board shall consist of 15 members serving terms of four years. Members are appointed by the County Executive after considering recommendations from the board and are subject to confirmation by the Legislature. Board members and subcommittee members shall not serve for more than eight years.
