Starting or running a business can be complex. The Ulster County Department of Economic Development serves as a central point of contact, helping businesses understand available resources, connect with the right partners, and plan next steps. We assist businesses within the County and those wanting to do business here with site identification, referrals, and general guidance to support informed business decisions.

Tax Credits & Other Incentives

Offered through Ulster County Department of Economic Development:

• Revolving Loan Fund (currently not accepting applications)
• Grants for small businesses, startups and entrepeneurs. (currently not accepting applications)

   

Ulster County Resources:

• Mid-Hudson/Catskills Small Business Development Center – no-cost, one-to-one counseling, group training, and researching services to small and medium sized businesses or solo entrepreneurs who are just getting started
• Hudson Valley Venture Hub Innovation Hot Spot Benefits - convening and supporting the Ulster County and Hudson Valley entrepreneurial ecosystem (for growth-focused startups and entrepreneurs)
• Ulster County Industrial Development Agency (UCIDA) - contact for tax credits
