Funding Available for Youth Programs in Ulster County

Ulster County is now accepting applications for Office of Children and Family Services Reimbursement Grant Funding for the 2026–2027 program year. This funding is available to support local organizations that provide services and opportunities for young people in Ulster County.

Applications are due by September 15, 2026, and cover the program period from October 1, 2026, through September 30, 2027. Eligible applicants must be either a County municipality or a 501(c)(3) nonprofit community-based organization operating in Ulster County, with a federal identification number and charity registration number. Applicants must also be able to meet the County’s insurance requirements.

Funding opportunities are available in three categories:

  • Youth Development
  • Youth Sports Education
  • Youth Team Sports

Eligible youth programs are encouraged to apply and take advantage of an in‑person technical assistance session on Thursday, September 3, 1–3 PM at the Restorative Justice Center, 733 Broadway in Kingston. Staff from the Ulster County Youth Bureau, Social Services, and Risk Management will be available to answer questions, provide guidance, and assist organizations with the application process. Applicants are strongly encouraged to attend, and those unable to join in person may contact the Youth Bureau to schedule one‑on‑one support. For team leaders from organizations seeking guidance, the Ulster County Youth Bureau team is available to assist new applicants or answer any questions.
