The Economic Futures Summit will convene education, industry, workforce, government, and community partners to strengthen career pathways and support a sustainable, resilient, and thriving Ulster County.
The Department Economic Development and Office of Employment and Training will convene a series of sector-intensive Mini-Summits, beginning with Value‑Added Agriculture & Food Production in the Fall of 2026. Subsequent Mini-Summits will include Film & Media, Advanced Manufacturing, Health Care, and Green Building & Skilled Trades, culminating in an Economic Futures Summit that convenes all sectors in the spring.
Mini-Summits
The Mini-Summits will explore how we can support the needs of existing and expanding industries while connecting Ulster County residents to well-paying jobs and promoting a “people-centered economy” that creates opportunity, prosperity, and a high quality of life for all our residents. The Mini-Summits will also help shape the County’s Economic Development Strategic Framework, as well as lay the groundwork for the Economic Futures Convening in Spring 2027.
