The VSA has New York State and American Legion accredited Veteran Benefit Officers who provide support to County veterans and their families in obtaining medical, disability, pension and education benefits from the US Department of Veterans Affairs and the NYS Department of Veteran Affairs.
These services are always available at the VSA Office at 5 Development Court, Kingston during works hours (Monday to Friday, 9 AM-5 PM, closed noon-1 PM for lunch). Additionally, the VSA offers benefits assistance clinics in the community. Clinics are held at the Trudy Center in Ellenville on the first Monday of each month, and at the Kingston VA Clinic on the second, third, fourth, and fifth Mondays of each month.
Appointments are preferred, though walk-ins are accepted when services are available. To schedule an appointment, call the VSA Office at (845) 340-3190.
Benefits assistance is also offered at many community outreach events.
