"Return the FAVOR" Discount Card

The “Return the FAVOR” Veteran Discount Program (Find & Assist Veterans Of Record) gives ID cards to honorably discharged veterans or their surviving spouses that allow them to obtain discounts on goods and services at participating businesses.

Apply for a FAVOR Card

Step 1.Ensure your DD-214 is on file with the VSA

Call us at (845) 340-3190 to make sure that your/your spouse's DD-214 is on file. If it is not, visit our office and we will work with you to get it on file.

Step 2.Visit us to pick up your application

Visit us at 5 Development Ct., Kingston. We will help you file your DD-214 if necessary, and provide you with your authorized application. 

Step 3.Submit your application

Bring your signed application to the Ulster County Clerk's Office on the 2nd floor of the Ulster County Office Building at 244 Fair St, Kingston. Staff are available to create your card weekdays from 9 AM - 12 PM and 1 PM - 4:45 PM.

Register Your Business

Please join us in demonstrating our appreciation and support for the efforts of those who keep us safe and fight for our freedom! Participating businesses will be added to the official merchant registry on the County Clerk's site and receive a window sign indicating their participation.

FAVOR Card FAQ

Can my spouse use my FAVOR card or obtain his/her own?

At this time, the FAVOR card is only available to the veteran or a surviving spouse, if the veteran is deceased. 

 

How do I get my favorite businesses to participate in the FAVOR program?

Business owners should apply on the County Clerk's FAVOR page. If there is a particular business you would like to participate in this program, feel free to bring them a copy of the application form or direct them to the Clerk's page to fill one out.

Is there a fee to obtain a FAVOR card?

No. This is a free service offered to veterans.
