Banjo Bridge Closure in Rochester Beginning Sept. 23

KINGSTON, NY - The Ulster County Department of Public Works will temporarily close County Bridge #16, known as Banjo Bridge, located on Dug Road in the Town of Rochester beginning Tuesday, September 23, for a full bridge replacement. The estimated completion date is late fall 2025.
Banjo Bridge, located approximately 0.3 miles south of the intersection with Sundale Road and crossing Rochester Creek, will be closed to all through traffic during the replacement project.
Bridge Closure: County Bridge #16 - Banjo Bridge, at Dug Road

Start Date: Tuesday, September 23
Detour Route: Traffic may use Sundale Road southwest for 0.6 miles to Queens Highway south for 4.5 miles to State Route 209 east for 0.8 miles to Mettacahonts Road north for 3.8 miles.
