Membership Rules

The EMC Shall be composed of one member from each City, Town, and Village environmental Council and commission within the County and are nominated by the governing body of that City, Town, or Village and up to an equal number of at-large appointees. Members are appointed by the County Executive and confirmed by the County Legislature for a term of three years. The Director of Planning serves on the council as an ex officio member.
