A truly special cross-continental collaboration: the Ulster County and Chernivtsi, Ukraine Sister-Communities Weaving Project. The day begins with a live Zoom exchange with the School of Bukovynian Taystra Weaving in Chernivtsi, Ukraine, followed by a hands-on weaving workshop at the Wool Room. Learn the traditional tapestry technique used to create taystra bags, a craft passed down through generations in the Chernivtsi region, as Ulster County and its Sister Community come together through shared thread and tradition. Co-hosted by the Ulster County Executive's Office, the Ulster County Legislature, and Ulster County Fiber as part of Ulster County's Sister Community agreement with the Chernivtsi Region of Ukraine.
