Ulster County Extends Emergency Declaration; County Offices Closed and UCAT Suspended Today

Travel Ban Remains in Effect Until 12 Noon

KINGSTON, NY - Ulster County Executive Jen Metzger has extended the County’s Emergency Declaration through 5 PM today, Monday, January 26, due to ongoing hazardous conditions from the long‑duration winter storm impacting the region. As a result, all Ulster County government offices will remain closed for the entire day, and UCAT bus service is suspended today.

Travel restrictions on the County's public road system will be lifted at 12 noon today, but residents are urged to stay off the roads until conditions improve.

UCAT will be running on a 2-hour delay on Tuesday, January 27. Visit https://ucat.ulstercountyny.gov for full schedules.

Additional updates will be provided on the home page of the County website: www.ulstercountyny.gov/Home, and shared through Ulster County’s official channels.
