Request a Tax Map Correction

If your parcel appears to be shown in error on the tax map, you can request a correction to allow for an accurate assessment of property value.

In Person

Step 1.Gather your documents

Locate a copy of your survey map and deed.

Step 2.Meet with Tax Mapper

Bring a copy of your survey map and deed to Real Property during business hours and ask to speak with a Tax Mapper.

You will be asked to complete a Tax Map Correction Request Form(PDF, 30KB) and provide copies of your documents for review.

Step 3.Investigation and Determination

The Tax Mapper will investigate the request and inform you of the determination.

If necessary, the tax mapper will correct the tax map and inform your local assessor.

Step 4.New Assessment

If a correction is made, your local assessor will likely reach out to you about a new assessment. If you don't hear from your assessor, it is recommended that you follow up with them about receiving a new assessment.
