The Family and Child Advocacy Center (FCAC) investigates cases of domestic violence, physical abuse, and sexual abuse. This multi-disciplinary team includes law enforcement officers and child protective caseworkers, working together to support victims in a child-friendly environment
A partnership of the Ulster County District Attorney's Office and the Department of Social Services, the Center coordinates all agencies involved in investigations of child abuse, domestic violence. The Center provides forensic interviewing, victim support and advocacy, and medical and therapeutic services to the child and non-offending adult victim in one location. Trained, diverse and culturally competent team members work together to support victims in a child-friendly environment.
