County Poised to Benefit from Funding for Broadband in Unserved Areas

Ulster County has been awarded $20.8 million through New York State’s ConnectALL Deployment Program to expand broadband access to nearly 1,300 unserved households, businesses, and community facilities located in more remote and less densely populated areas of the County.

Banjo Bridge Closure in Rochester Beginning Sept. 23

The Ulster County Department of Public Works will temporarily close County Bridge #16, known as Banjo Bridge, located on Dug Road in the Town of Rochester beginning Tuesday, September 23, for a full bridge replacement. The estimated completion date is late fall 2025.

Ulster County Secures $1M State Funding for New Paltz Infrastructure

Ulster County Awarded Grant for Repairs to Historic Persen House

Text-to-911 Service Launched by Department of Emergency Services

On Monday, May 1, 2023, the Ulster County Department of Emergency Services, Division of Emergency Communications launched a Text–to–9-1-1 service for Ulster County. This new service allows wireless customers to send a text–to–9-1-1 in an emergency when voice calls are inappropriate, ineffective, or unsafe.
