County Opens Crisis Support Center for 24/7 Behavioral Health Services

County Executive Jen Metzger announced the opening of the Ulster County Crisis Support Center, operated by People USA in partnership with the UC Department of Mental Health. The Center will operate 24/7, providing support for people of all ages experiencing a mental health or substance use crisis. The Center is located on the first floor of the UC Center for Well-Being at 368 Broadway in Kingston.

Ulster County EMS Division Hosts Statewide EMS Leadership Training

The Ulster County Department of Emergency Services – EMS Division successfully hosted the New York State EMS Leadership Training Course on January 31 and February 1 at the Ulster County Public Safety Training Center in Kingston. The 16‑hour program was delivered by instructors from the NYS Division of State Emergency Medical Services and developed with support from the NYS Office of Rural Health.

$130k Distributed to 32 Local Food Pantries Through Food Access Fund

Ulster County Executive Jen Metzger and Community Foundations of the Hudson Valley (CFHV) announced today the distribution of $130,000 in funding to 32 nonprofit organizations and food assistance providers through the Ulster Food Access Fund, a collaborative initiative launched by County Executive Metzger to address growing food insecurity amid federal funding uncertainty.

Family Services Behavioral Health

Family Services operates a Behavioral Health Center at the Trudy Center from 9:30 AM - 6:30 PM on Wednesdays. They offer individual and group therapy by licensed therapists and counselors who practice with person-centered and evidence-based approaches. Family Services has a team of Psychiatrists, Psychiatric Nurse Practitioners, and Registered Nurses to help with medical and medication needs.
