Mobility 2050 looks twenty-five years into the future of transportation in Ulster County. Developing transportation infrastructure is often complicated, expensive, and slow-moving. It can take decades to go from idea to plan to design to completion. By taking a long look forward, we can plan for the future we want.

Shandaken Rail Trail Project

This multi-use, non-motorized transportation and recreational corridor will connect the hamlets of Pine Hill and Highmount in the Town of Shandaken to Belleayre Mountain and Belleayre Beach.

Traffic Safety Campaigns

Multi-pronged road safety campaigns launched by County Executive Jen Metzger in partnership with the Ulster County Transportation Council and Traffic Safety Board, Office of the Sheriff, local governments, and state and local law enforcement

Kingston Rail Crossing Study

A study to evaluate and enhance safety along the regional West Shore (CSX) Railroad Corridor in the City of Kingston. The study assesses existing street crossings, crashes, and trespass incidents along the rail corridor while considering the impact of surrounding land uses.
