Unpaid 2021 General Taxes and 2020/2021 School Taxes will be filed on a List of Delinquent Taxes in the Office of the Ulster County Clerk on November 2, 2021. The recording of that list will create a Notice of Pendency (lien), which is technically the start of the foreclosure process.
To avoid a $150.00 fee for title search, payments must be received no later than November 1, 2021. Please note, as of November 2, 2021, all payments must include the additional $150.00 fee.
For the exact amount due, please call (845) 340-3431 between 9am and 5pm Monday – Friday. Payments are accepted in the form of a certified check or money order payable to Ulster County Finance Dept. If paying in person; cash, VISA, MasterCard and Discover are also accepted. Payments made with debit or credit cards will be charged an additional 4.00% fee.
