Mental Health, Department of

The Department of Mental Health serves residents with mental health challenges, developmental disabilities, and substance use struggles. 

We help residents access the right support, whenever they need it. We can help you navigate the behavioral help care system and explore the available options and resources.

We also coordinate the many service providers that make up Ulster County's mental and behavioral health system. We work with providers to ensure service are accessible, high-quality, and effective.

Center for Well-Being on Participate Ulster

Project updates on the Center for Well-Being. Follow our progress as we transform 368 Broadway in Kingston into an innovative center that will offer residents immediate assistance in a trauma-informed environment.

Crisis Support Center

The Center will be Ulster County’s first 24/7 walk-in facility for individuals experiencing a behavioral health crisis — a safe, welcoming place to receive immediate care and support.

Behavioral Health Needs Assessment

We’re conducting a Behavioral Health Needs Assessment to strengthen services for mental health, addiction, and developmental disabilities. Your voice matters!
